The trasteverina killed by a bomb

The trasteverina killed by a bomb, Jerome Induno shows a girl of the Trastevere district of Rome, died during the fighting in 1849.

The
painters participated in the Risorgimento struggles and photographed scenes of real life. This image must not leave us indifferent. Jerome Induno photographs with painting a very dramatic moment, a bomb hits a wall and breaks a little girl who falls to the ground lifeless.

The picture is a representation of a very tragic moment in which the painter, through shapes, colors, and setting the face of the girl Examining invites us to reflect on the sacrifice that has been built in the Unification of Italy and we now we must not and can not betray.

Our unit is dear to all who heard the story as belonging, who care about the price paid to obtain it, a price that makes absolutely inexcusable and intolerable thinly disguised attempt of those who today do not recognize or value the nor the historical value, which plays a part of the movement that was intended as the Risorgimento patriotism, as a rebirth of a new era in which all become sons and brothers.
